Diary of a Life with Chronic Pain v2.01

1. Am STILL full of cold. It just hasnt gone away at all. Now Dad has it, and Mam has it back too worse than ever. Shes got ABs for it, and it coughing up all sorts of lovely colours of the rainbow, with some smashing sound effects too.

2. My Digital Camera is.... prepare yourself for a technical term ..... "shagged". It wont play as a webcam. It wont record video footage, it wont take pictures. 50% of the time the zoom lens wont go back into its little hobbit hole when its shut-down. Smashing. I feel a wallet crunching visit to Jessops coming on.

3. I saw the pain clinic last week. I went in sheer desperation with the pain which has been horrible all year so far - hence so few posts this year at the moment. In fact lets split this reason up into sub-reasons... yes theres THAT many!
3.a - I went needing to get more pain relief because the pain has been horrific at times. I left with a promise that if I phone up or contact them when the pain is bad they will increase the drugs for me, or maybe even swop me over to a different one if needs be seein as im gettin so tolerant.
3.b Why did they just do it this time instead? They want me to take paracetamol dailiy to see if that helps instead first. Give me strenght PLEASE! (Can u tell Im gettin slightly angry while typing this???)
3.c The nurse promsed she'd phone me next day after talking to the doctor about what to do next in my pain plan, and what drugs I could alternate the methadone with. That was Jan 9th. Guess who hasnt had a phone call since then? Yeah, you guessed it.

4. Fed up yet? We have a hard drive enabled Freeview digital receiver set top box in our house. Try saying that when drunk. And just after Xmas we got it replaced due to a faulty hard drive. Yesterday I spent an hour on the phone at 50p a minute ($1 a min for our US friends) explaining the new problem we have with the box. We went thru lots of tests on the machine. I was up n down like a yo yo pulling cables out and swapping cables, and changing settings and god knows what else. She then says out of nowhere that the problem is all software related on the set top box. I said "and how have you come to that conclusion?" and she said "we are gettin lots of phone calls each day with the same problem". SO WHY NOT SAY SO FROM THE FRICKING START!!!!!! And save me £30 in freaking phone calls!!!!!!! Stupid bloody tech support departments!

There is actually a 5, 6 and 7. But... well. I dont want to seem anymore a big whinger than I have already! lol. So I shall save those for another time and drop them in (without numbers) in another entry. And when you read them you can think "was that 5,6 and 7 I just read there? Or a brand new 8, 9 and 10?"

And you know what... I wont tell ya, just to let you have a poser to chew on for the next few days after you've read those posts. :P

Pain: 5/10 without paracetamol. Jeeeeeez, what a shock!!!
Depression: 5/10 (or £30/10, depending how u look at it).
