Java Chat Problems/Support
1. The java chat program is just a grey box which doesnt load into anything.
If the chat box is just a large grey box, it means your browser isnt java compliant.
How to fix this:
Netscape users: Re-install netscape with the latest v6, and make sure it is the FULL install so that the java plug in is installed too.
Internet Explorer Users: Download and install Microsoft Virtual Machine (5.6MBs) which is located on this website for your convieniece and is free. Just click this link to download it.
Once downloaded, double click the file and follow the simple installation instructions. Once installed the program will ask you to reboot/restart your PC. Do this, then come back to the chat page and the Java Chat box will now load.
ATTN: FIRST TIME USERS!
The "security certificate" pop-up box will appear the first time you load the java chat program. you MUST click YES / ACCEPT to this box or else the program will not complete it's loading procedure because you have denied it permission to do so. (You can tick a box within the security alert pop up query so that it remembers your yes answer and you wont be asked again.)
Once loaded, and the security alert accepted the chat program should look like this (fig. 1). If it does, it's successfully loaded and you are ready to connect and join in the fun. The total loading time inc the security box bit should be less than 30 seconds on even the slowest computers and internet connections.
